Getting My Mojo Back...

Ok... so I already whined in my previous post this morning about my flu... so enough about that!  Here is my card for the Mojo Monday 107 contest.   In honour of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month I decided to make my card in shades of Pink.  I used my free Inktegrity digistamp download for October on this card.  Aren't these ladybugs just the sweetest!

All paper, the ribbons and the flower brad are SU (gotta use up my stash right?).  Then I added fruit punch stickles to the ribbon and some Kaisercraft bling and voila!

I also printed out this digistamp image for my daughter to colour.  I will make sure I post it soon... I'm sure Joni over at Inktegrity with get a kick out of it.

Ok ladies here's my public service announcement... get your breasts checked (and not just by your hubby...lol) regularly.  If you find it early you can beat it!!!

HUGS!

Back from the Flu...Whew

Hey Ladies.  I'm finaly back up and running at 100%... it's taken two full weeks to get over this flu bug but after a trip to the doctor and some antibiotics for the lovely ear infection and chest infection I'm "back in the saddle again"!  When you are too sick to papercraft...well, I can't tell you what a horrible feeling it is but I sure do hope you all never experience it.

Ok, enough whining... lol.  Yesterday was an amazing day because I finally received my packages from Gina K and Unity.  I say finally, but really it was just standard shipping time (I'm a little impatient).   I love getting mail, especially when it has fun stuff I get to play with!  From Unity I received my September Kit of the Month (I just signed up for the club on September 29th) and a set of their storage cases.  Can I tell you that I just sat down and made three cards with these fabulous stamps just like magic.  So beautiful and fun.  I'll post these when I have some natural light to work with (after the sun comes up lol).   From Gina K I ordered heavy weight Pure Luxury Cardstock in white, black and ivory... OMG... why didn't I find this stuff earlier.  I was teasing my hubby that I had a craftgasm just touching it.  It is amazing... I think I'll be ordering it in more colours VERY soon.

Anyway, I wanted to share with you two cards I made for World Card Making Day.  I had intended to send them to Papercrafts but I'm not completely happy with them so I'll keep them for my stash and send them to someone VERY deserving!

The first card is an I LOVE YOU card... I had fun with all the layers... You can't really see it but there is an acetate clear panel in front of the designer paper.

The stamp set is Always from SU.

Then I had some fun distressing and layering in non-girly colours with this card.

Base card is Kiwi Kiss then a panel of Cordinations cardstock in black (I'm in love).  I had some fun with dots... this card was apart more than it was together.

I will definitely do this banner treatment again.  Probably in pink for my daughter's next birthday party.

Thanks for dropping by!

Third Post Today... Wow!!!

Ok.  So I announced earlier today that I was the lucky winner of the first ever http://www.inktegrity.blogspot.com/ challenge.  So in honour of the event, I took my new digistamps and made a wee little note card.

The cardstock base is 3x3 in Tangerine Tango with a Ruby Red overlay.  The fence is printed on Close to Cocoa cardstock and fussy cut out (like the rest of the images).  Pumpkins, leaves and the tiny acorn are coloured using Trias and various other markers I have lying around in the drawer.  The sentiment is from a SU hostess set from the last catty.  I was inspired to leave one pumpkin white as we just got a shipment at our local grocery store that puzzled my daughter... very cute!

Hope you like it!

Gradient is Radiant Challenge

Ok... so a reposting of a card I made using gradient colour to enter the Gradient is Radiant challenge over at Moxie Fab World... I love the card and will likely incorporate this technique on an upcoming Christmas card... I'm thinking blues, purples, glitter and snowflakes... anyway... here's my entry:

If you want more details on how I made this card visit my first post in August... it's got at the deets!

Hugs!

Inktegrity Challenge #1

Just a quickie... I found out from fellow blogger Nikki that her very talented friend has her own digistamps being launched... very exciting.   If you visit her blog at inktegrity.blogspot.com you'll find out more and get a free digistamp of the cutest candy corn just in time for halloween.

The challenge was to use her digistamp image, 1 designer paper, glitter and spots... Here's my entry.  I had fun!!!

Ok... so I used two DPs... but the spots element is from the second piece.  I'm pretty sure both DPs are from My Little Yellow Bicycle (last year's).  The gorgeous candy corn is the digistamp printed on saffon cardstock and coloured with my Tria markers in yellow and orange.  Then I added white craft ink to the tips and sprinked dazzling diamonds glitter on top.  The sentiment is from Martha Stewart and the ribbon is Cosmo Cricket (last year's too!). Then I added some 3D candy corn stickers I had just waiting for this project... wink!

Anyway, I wish Joni all the best in her new endeavor.  Of course I'll be following her blog now too!

Hugs and Good Night!

Mojo Monday 106

Ok... so I am home sick and have been for the last two days.  It was inevitable...my child returned to school... LOL.

Here is the card I created using the Mojo Monday 106 sketch.  It is actually addressed and ready to go to Claire Brennan over at Waltzing Mouse Stamps to congratulate her on her new online store.  Please go check out her store at http://www.waltzingmousestamps.com/ or her blog at http://www.waltzingmouse.blogspot.com/. She is super talented, sweet and well... an inspiration to show what a whole lot of love, support and passion can do.  Congratulations Claire!!!

There is a full panel that surrounds the card in Garden Green... I had a lot of fun with this card.  I used my Waltzing Mouse Say it with Style stamp set.  It's hard to see but I versamarked both the yellow and chocolate panels using the stamps from this set.  I just love it!

Enjoy!
